Introducing the NEW 36200 oiLESS Machine!

Union Special Machine Company announces a new series of 36200 machines, redesigned with no oil in the sewing area. This improvement means more first-quality garments can be produced because the chance for staining is greatly reduced.

Union Special® 36200 Series machines are feed-off-the-arm four-needle flatseamers for top and bottom coverstitching on light to heavy weight knits and fleece. These are versatile machines, able to perform a variety of operations: lapseam with one or both sides trimmed, join and attach tape, or flatseam with both sides trimmed. There is also a special five-needle lapseamer that sews extremely strong seams on Spandex.

To ensure a smooth finished seam, design features of the 36200 focus on thread and material handling. New thread handling parts, needle thread lubricator, differential feed with independently adjustable main and differential feeds, floatable presser foot, and thinner presser foot shoes all contribute to a high quality sewn product.

All 36200 styles are differential feed, with a 6mm presser foot lift, and 4200 RPM maximum speed. 

LAPSEAMING STYLES

36200L100-52 and 36200L100-60: Four-needle, six-thread, one side trim lapseamer.

Fitted with a one side fabric trimming presser foot, edge guide and spreader.  Machine is set to trim right side of fabric edge, but left side fabric edge trimming can also be done by simply moving edge guide. Machine produces a 607LSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge. 

Uses: For closing the crotch of briefs and panties, and seaming sleeves of T-shirts and polo shirts, etc.

36200L200-52 and 36200L200-60: Four-needle, six-thread, both side trim lapseamer.

Fitted with a both side fabric trimming presser foot, lap former and spreader. Trimming both sides ensures smooth even seams on the top and bottom of the fabric. Machine produces a 607LSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge.

Uses: For side seaming swimsuits, jogging pants, biking shorts, knitted jackets and T-shirts; and crotch seaming briefs and panties.

36200L202-52 and 36200L202-60: Four-needle, six-thread, both side trim lapseamer. Fitted with special both side fabric trimming sewing combination, lap former and spreader. Trimming both sides ensures smooth even seams on the top and bottom of the fabric. Machine produces a 607LSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge.

Use: Specifically for knit boxer briefs.

36200L210-52 and 36200L210-60: Four-needle, six-thread, both side trim lapseamer for heavy weight fabrics. Fitted with both side fabric trimming presser foot, lap former and spreader. Trimming both sides ensures smooth even seams on the top and bottom of the fabric. Presser foot, throat plate and feed dogs have a 1.2mm stepped section to accommodate heavier fabric. Machine produces a 607LSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge.

Uses: For crotch seams with binding on briefs.

SPECIAL LAPSEAMING STYLE-SWIMWEAR

36200L220-60: Five–needle, seven-thread both side trim lapseamer for Spandex. Fitted with both side fabric trimming presser foot, lap former and spreader. Trimming both sides ensures smooth even seams on the top and bottom of the fabric. Having an additional needle results in a seam with 3 needle threads in the lapped fabric plies instead of two. Machine produces a 610LSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-1.8mm stitch length range (set to 1.6mm). 6.0mm needle gauge only.

Uses: For side seaming swimsuits, leotards, workout wear and sports activewear made of Spandex-type materials.

 JOINING & TAPING STYLES

36200T300-52 and 36200T300-60: Four-needle, five-thread seamer for attaching tape. Fitted with one side fabric trimming or both side fabric trimming presser foot without spreader, with taping folder. Folder uses 3/4" (19mm) tape, sews to 3/8" (9.5mm) finish. Machine produces a 408LSz-1 (mod.) stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge.

Uses: For attaching the tape on the front fly of briefs, thermal underwear and similar garments.

MULTIPURPOSE: LAPSEAMING & FLATSEAMING
STYLES

36200U300-52 and 36200U300-60: Four-needle, six-thread multipurpose seamer for lapseaming and flatseaming. Fitted with one side fabric trimming lapseam or both side fabric trimming flatseam presser foot, edge guide and spreader. Includes both side fabric trimming lapseam presser foot, lap former and spreader. Machine produces a 607LSa-1 or 607FSa-1 stitch/seam, with a 1.6-2.5mm stitch length range (set to 2.1mm). Available in 5.2mm or 6.0mm needle gauge.

Uses: For closing crotch of briefs and panties; and side seaming swimsuits, jogging pants, biking pants, knitted jackets and T-shirts, etc.
