We need an energetic, experienced Technical Service person to help us support and assist our customers on our product lines.  The Technical Service person will be responsible for all technical matters, including but not limited to, machine and sewing solutions, installation, training, after sale service and support, and machine repair.

 Responsibility

  • Provide technical support to end users via in person and/or phone support
  • Installation of Union Special equipment at the customer location
  • Provide training to the customer during installations and service calls
  • Provide tailored solutions for each customer

Qualifications:

  • High level of knowledge of industrial sewing machines
  • Electronic and motor knowledge a plus
  • Manufacturing/R&D background a plus
  • Excellent working ethics and attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent direct customer interaction skills a plus
  • 30% or more travel required
  • Competent in the use of Windows based applications

  • Reviews production schedules, processes, and specifications.
  • Evaluates manufacturing data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
  • Review and monitor shop operational costs to minimize production issues.
  • Works with manufacturing departments to develop and design production standards.
  • Generates process documentation and reports.
